VOTING WITH DOLLARS

Money is energy...  and we can choose what we do with this energy.  Do we save it, spend it, invest it…  the choice is ours.  We are the steward, the gate keeper of this energy.  What happens to each and every dollar that flows in and out of our lives is up to us.  When we spend, save, or invest money...  we are in essence   saying “We stand behind these products and the company or companies they    represent.”

 

Being a good steward of money goes beyond just how much money one can      accumulate.  It is our legacy.  What influence did we make in our life time.  When we choose not to let our money flow to “XYZ” and choose to let it flow to “ZYX” we have just made a difference.  We just voted.  We are giving our stamp of       approval.

 

If we do not like the way a company operates, we will have to make a decision.  Will we continue to support such a company?  Will we sit back and see how things progress, before we allow any more money to flow to this company?      These will be our decisions to make.

 

Do we really know where our dollars go?  When was the last time you looked up a company?  Is it really them, or have they been purchased by another company?  Do you stand behind this group company?  Do a little research on some of the products you use regularly...  you will be amazed.

 

 

The decision to take on debt from “XYZ” company goes way beyond can we make the payments?  Are we comfortable with this company’s track record and their integrity?  Have we researched this company on how they operate their      affairs?  If we have taken on debt...  we are bound to the debt, to the company,  until forgiven.  We had better be comfortable with our decision…                        its impact could last a while.

 

 

Now, if we like the way “ZYX” operates yet they cost a bit more, we will have a choice to make.  We will have to cast our vote.  Will we vote for a company’s    integrity vs. another company’s price.  The choice and impact of our vote is ours.
